charming stay with some minor issues
The Victorian house has a unique character that I truly enjoyed. My room was cozy, quiet, and provided a serene view of the garden. Breakfast across the road included a delightful fresh fruit salad that brightened my mornings.

What a charming Victorian gem! Warm and good value, it had everything we needed and more, and the central yet quiet location is spot on.
Housekeeping could use a little pep—our room felt more tired than the morning after a Scottish ceilidh! And don't forget, breakfast is a little hike away if you fancy a lie-in.

Super cozy spot, very clean and quiet! We had this gorgeous view of the garden leading to the sea. Breakfast was a standout with fresh fruit salad. Roddy really knows his stuff from his chef days! Great location too, only a short stroll to the harbor and shops.
Zero issues.

will certainly stay here again
Plenty of heating to keep cozy. The private bathroom was a nice touch, along with a shower that had good pressure. Loved the TV for relaxing and the tea/coffee maker was handy. Close to the harbor and shops made exploring easy. Quiet surroundings added to the charm.

the location of the guest house is amazin! super close to explore stornoway and the host was really friendly and welcoming. the room was perfectly comfy and had nice decor. also, the harbor and castle are just a 10-15 min walk away with fab scenery. we really enjoyed the tasty food at cafe 30, definitely worth a try!
but the wifi in the room was pretty poor and we had to go into the hall for a better signal. also, the breakfast was a bit of a hassle, especially if you wanted to sleep in.

The double room we stayed in was comfy, but a bit small. It had everything we needed, but the bed wasn’t the best for a good night's sleep. We heard a lot of chatter from the kitchen starting early, which was a bit annoying. The location was great though, just a short walk to everything! Can't believe we didn’t see any other guests the entire weekend, which felt odd.
